As soon as you first contact us, the caring process for your loved one and you begins, and we will see you through every step. So please call us immediately. The time of day/night is not important the sooner we know, the sooner we can help you and there are things we can arrange and do for you, even at night or weekends. Please do contact straight away.

Caring for your loved one.
We will arrange a time with you to collect your loved one from hospital or from home. One of us will accompany our trained staff - and from that moment will follow through the care. If your loved one passed away in hospital, we will let you know as soon as they are safe with us. If they passed away at home, we will support you and your family, at what can be an acutely sad stage of the journey as a family member leaves the family home. It is important that you know that this is not the last thing that you will do for that treasured person - but just the first - and we will help you to plan those further steps.

Care and preparation of your loved one
The preparation of your loved one involves gentle care of the body - washing, dressing, placing in the chosen coffin and provision of a safe and peaceful resting place until the funeral.

Questions about embalming
Embalming is often necessary if there is a delay between death and the funeral - perhaps because of an intervening post-mortem. It is necessary if family members wish to pay their respects by viewing their family member before the funeral. We will advise you and fully explain the process when we discuss the care options with you.

Registering the death
You do not want the stress of making calls or enduring long waits at this time. We will make the appointment with the Registrar, take you to register in our car and will prepare, advise and support you. We do not charge extra for this service. If you do prefer to do this alone, we will give you information that will make the task less stressful for you.
